Off-campus Senator, Charles Wagster
This year I have written legislation supporting the addition of two new fraternities Alpha Tau Omega and Sigma Nu. I have also authored legislation supporting Appalachian’s new Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Program. Next year I aim to work on streamlining Baseball tailgating to enhance the students experience and help increase attendance and promote the Baseball team.

The first among them is a bill supporting the Silver route, an exciting new Appal Cart route being added next year. This route is basically the POP-105 route, but ran backwards and [...]

Many places already have a discount, if they’re willing to supply one, and now I am trying to collaborate with the businesses so SGA can [...]

For the past few weeks in the External Affairs committee meetings we have been primarily going over Legislation. Each one of us in the committee has a piece of legislation we are focusing on. Hello all! As the holidays approach, the External Affairs Committee is working on several different pieces of legislation. Personally, my main focus in on a bill to increase the healthy options offered by vending machines in the residence halls. The rotating wheel vending machines primarily offer foods very bad for student’s health and do not [...]

As of the month of November I am still committed to two committees. These committees are External Affairs and PR/Civic Engagement. Within External Affairs I am working on a piece of legislation with a group of people. The legislation is a support piece for the rental companies in Boone that offer 10-month leases. Within this [...]

Hey, hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. So the past two weeks have been surrounded by the March of Dimes service project. Last weekend at the Western game tailgate, we raised over $700. The three people who were pied were the individuals with the least amount of donations. Jake Cox, the Director of [...]
